ARRESTS IN BEKSINSKI MURDER
2 teenagers are suspected of murdering renown Polish painter Zdzislaw Beksinski earlier this week.
Prosecutor's office in Warsaw has charged a 19-year-old man, who allegedly stabbed the painter to death in his own apartment, with murder. Another teenager, a 16-year-old one, is being accused of complicity in the crime. Born in 1929, Zdzislaw Beksinski was one of the most popular Polish 20th century artists, author of numerous surrealist and expressionist works.
Beksinski's friend and American publisher, James Cowan of Morpheus, indicated that robbery may have been the motive.
